Health Pathways

Health Pathways is a 3-year pilot strategy launched by Alberta Education to enhance the training options and promote health careers to High School students. Lakeland Catholic Schools was chosen as one of the 10 school districts in Alberta to pilot the new Health Services curriculum. The first year of the pilot program was the 2009-2010 school year.

A revised Career and Technology Studies (CTS) curriculum allows students to explore health related courses in a more deliberate and structured manner. The new CTS curriculum engages students in learning opportunities to discover their interests in practical and purposeful ways.
